Greetings from your Chairman!

I am very excited to see the grand response from so many who are eager to visit my home state of Minnesota.

I almost cannot believe it, but CCR is a mere five months away. To that end, we have some announcements to make that we hope will get you fired up for CCR 2012.

My first exciting announcement is that we've selected our 2012 Charity.

CCR has selected Positive Energy Outdoors (www.outdooredventures.org) as the organization the Curve Cowboy Reunion (CCR) will support during it's 2012 reunion in Duluth Minnesota! Positive Energy Outdoors encourages people and animal powered exploration of the outdoors. Their programs emphasize teamwork, healthy risk taking, and positive communication, creating learning opportunities that can lead to a lifetime of active adventures. This organization supports children from organizations such as Boys and Girls Club, YWCA Girl Power Program, YMCA, Copeland Community Center, Fond du Lac Ojibwe School, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and 4-H groups as well as schools, youth organizations, and church groups. I had the pleasure of speaking with co-founder, Stephanie Love about her charity. Her passion toward children, the outdoors, and the fact that too many children do not get to experience the greater outdoors was contagious. She was very interested in our group, learning how she and her team could participate as others have in the past, and was also filled with ideas about unique things her organization could bring to the table. I believe this is a charity we can get behind and another way we can make an incredible impact to the lives of children - this time in the Duluth area.

I'm also very excited to announce a special (optional) Wednesday event, specifically designed for us. We will be taking a harbor cruise with Vista Fleet (http://vistafleet.com/daily-cruises/pizza-sightseeing-cruises/). Join us for a wonderful sunset cruise, touring the harbor, getting a close-up view of major vessels in the area, and riding under the famous lift bridge. Our 1.5 hour cruise will include a scrumptious selection of food, along with a cash bar. The price to those with a confirmed CCR Registration number is only $20.
